Are you certified by another WSIB-recognized provider to deliver First Aid and CPR training? If so, are you interested in also qualifying to deliver newly approved WHSC programs.
The Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) is
the first and only of the Ontario Health and Safety Associations approved by the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) to deliver our own First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training programs.
To help ensure delivery capacity, we are seeking instructors
already certified by any WSIB-approved first aid training provider to also get qualified to deliver these newly approved WHSC programs. To do so, you will need to complete a full-day, in-person, no-cost WHSC instructor upgrade session. You can select from one of the many scheduled upgrade sessions over the coming months in various locations.

Why WHSC is offering an Instructor Upgrade?
There is a significant demand for First Aid & CPR training. We are ready to help meet this demand with our own approved programs. Though, to do so we need to first qualify existing First Aid & CPR instructors to deliver WHSC programs. Once qualified, instructors are eligible to deliver WHSC First Aid & CPR programs in workplaces, WHSC training facilities and communities across Ontario, where opportunities are available.
Note: Eligible instructors who become qualified to deliver WHSC First Aid and CPR training through this upgrade session will not be required to give up their current certification or affiliation with any other first aid training provider.
What to expect from the upgrade?
Certified First Aid and CPR instructors attending the upgrade will participate in hands-on activities demonstrating their current instructional abilities and practical first aid skills. They will then be introduced to WHSC's First Aid and CPR program standards, instructional approach, course materials and participant activities.
DON’T DELAY YOUR REGISTRATION. Each scheduled First Aid & CPR upgrade session is limited to just 12 participants.
