November is cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Month. There’s no time like the present to empower yourself with the skills that could save lives.
Bystander
CPR is the most critical factor in saving someone’s life during cardiac arrest. It can significantly increase their chances of survival. CPR is specifically designed to support individuals experiencing cardiac arrest, helping to sustain them until professional help arrives. CPR guidelines also include training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
When properly trained you can act with confidence during an emergency. Workers Health & Safety Centre,
an official Red Cross First Aid and CPR training partner, offers comprehensive first aid and CPR training to all workplace parties, students and anyone with general personal interest. Many choose to complete Standard First Aid & CPR/AED training. This comprehensive course is geared towards providing immediate care for injuries and a variety of medical situations including cardiac arrest.
