Workers Health & Safety Centre

Effective health and safety training with WHSC scheduled for fall

All summer we’ve heard and continue to hear news reports about unacceptable tragedies in Ontario workplaces that could have been prevented with a proactive health and safety strategy.

This fall let’s turn this situation around. At the forefront of any effective strategy is equally effective education and training. With more than 35 years experience as Ontario’s designated health and safety training centre, we at Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) know this to be true.

All to often we hear about workers who are critically injured or are exposed to hazards which lead to debilitating and often life-altering illness. Some are killed by traumatic workplace incidents and others by occupational diseases like cancer. Not to mention in the last two years what we’ve learned about new and deadly hazards like the virus that causes COVID.

At WHSC you will learn to Identify, assess and control, if not eliminate hazards through our cost-effective and comprehensive training programs.

As Ontario’s official training centre, WHSC offers a range of programs dedicated to assisting all workers, employers, supervisors and workplace representatives to meet and exceed their legal rights and duties related to their pursuit of safer, healthier work. Ultimately though, our efforts are not just to help create legally compliant workplaces free of injury and illness, but workplaces in which worker well-being is the goal.
