Training Services Rep (Sarnia)

Marketing, promoting, organizing and coordinating the delivery of WHSC training to unions and companies are the primary work tasks of WHSC Training Services Representatives (TSRs). To perform this work TSRs must possess advanced knowledge of Ontario health and safety law and grasp of key health and safety concepts, plus knowledge of the labour movement and an understanding of WHSC’s vision and mission.

Executive Director

WHSC is seeking an experienced leader with a strong knowledge of occupational health and safety and the structures and operations of Canadian trade unions, government and corporations. Among other required knowledge sets and skills, the successful candidate will also possess exceptional interpersonal facilitation and consultation skills necessary to build positive working relationships with all connected to WHSC.

Communications Officer

Our Communications Officers help develop essential WHSC information resources, including several e-news publications, hazard bulletins and tools for prevention. They additionally help shape WHSC’s marketing efforts across all platforms. Applicants require a minimum of five years’ experience in a professional communications role and a post-secondary degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or relevant field.

Secretary (Information Services)

Working with other WHSC staff, secretaries in Information Services help support and shape WHSC’s efforts to provide quality health and safety information products and additionally help market WHSC training services on a variety of platforms. Demonstrated ability in graphic layout and design, both print and digital is essential for this position. Excellent proof-reading ability and proficiency in office administration are also required.
